My name is Madison, but everyone knows me as Madi. I'm the baker, decorator, and heart behind Sugar & Spurs Bakery.
My Story
As a little girl, I often struggled to enjoy baked treats because of my food allergies. While everyone else enjoyed birthday cakes and desserts, I was often left searching for something I could eat. What started as frustration eventually turned into a passion for creating and perfecting recipes of my own
I've always loved to bake, and I've always dreamed of owning my own bakery. For years, it was something I hoped to do "someday," but I realized that dreams stay dreams unless you're willing to take the first step. There may never be a perfect time to start, so sometimes you simply have to trust God, take the leap, and see where the journey leads you!
Sugar & Spurs Bakery is also a way for me to honor my Nana Ruth. She encouraged her great-grandchildren to work hard, follow their dreams, and build something of their own. While she isn't here to see this dream come to life, I often think about how proud she would be to see me taking this step.
About Sugar & Spurs
The name Sugar & Spurs reflects two things I love - sweet treats and a little country charm. Every baked good is made with quality ingredients, attention to detail, and plenty of love.
When I'm not baking, you'll usually find me spending time with family and friends, serving at church, or hanging out with my Bernedoodle, Stetson.
